The complaint

Arbor Systems LLC v. Baicells Technologies North America Inc., No. 2:26-cv-00808-JRG-RSP (E.D. Tex., Marshall Division), is a five-page complaint for patent infringement filed September 11, 2026, ECF No. 1, with a jury demand. The docket's assignment entry shows the case assigned to District Judge Rodney Gilstrap and referred to Magistrate Judge Roy S. Payne. The complaint describes Arbor as a New Mexico company based in Albuquerque and alleges that Baicells is a Texas corporation with an established place of business in Plano, Texas.

What the patent covers

U.S. Patent 12,001,403 is titled Blockchain cell system and issued June 4, 2024. Claim 1 covers a system with a distributed ledger storing one or more smart contracts; one or more 5G small cells, each with antennas mounted on a housing and sending packets of data trackable with the ledger, at least one of which earns fees by providing communication with mobile devices, is associated with a public key in the ledger, and provides data transport and Proof-of-Location services; and a processor that controls the directionality of the antennas in communication with a predetermined target using 5G protocols.

What the lawsuit is about

Arbor alleges that Baicells directly infringes by making, using, selling, offering, and importing the products identified in the claim charts filed as Exhibit 2, and by having its employees test and use them, and that Baicells induces infringement at least since service of the complaint. The exemplary products and claims appear in those charts, which are not available. The prayer asks for a judgment of infringement, damages under 35 U.S.C. 284 with interest, an accounting, and attorneys' fees if the case is found exceptional.
