The complaint
The case is Shaoqing Lin v. Zonopy and YsyYey-US, No. 1:26-cv-27610 (S.D. Fla.), a 13-page complaint for patent infringement filed October 27, 2026, Document 1. The plaintiff is Shaoqing Lin, whom the complaint identifies as the sole named inventor and owner of all right, title, and interest in the asserted patent. The defendants are Zonopy and YsyYey-US, which the complaint describes as business entities, partnerships, or unincorporated associations that own and operate Amazon.com storefronts under those seller aliases.
Jurisdiction and joinder
The complaint pleads subject matter jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. 1331 and 1338(a). It alleges the defendants sell the accused products through Amazon storefronts into the district and invokes joinder under 35 U.S.C. 299 based on the same accused product and common questions of infringement.
The patents and claims
The complaint asserts U.S. Patent 12,465,872, Multi-Stage Synchronous Driving Mechanism and Electric Toy, which it says issued November 11, 2025. Asserted claims are claim 1 (Count I) and claim 14 (Count II).
U.S. Patent 12,465,872 covers a multi-stage synchronous driving mechanism in which a motor on a housing drives a gear transmission that turns a sun gear on a support so that the sun gear drives a plurality of planetary gears, each paired with an execution unit that rotates relative to the housing. Claim 1 covers that mechanism, including execution units with an insertion post, stop plate, and free arm in sequence, a planetary gear sleeved on the insertion post, a free arm penetrating the support, a stop plate that movably abuts the support, and a stop post between the insertion post and stop plate that fits a stop slot on the planetary gear. Claim 14 covers an electric toy that comprises the multi-stage synchronous driving mechanism of claim 1 and several light emitting parts located in the housing and correspondingly disposed in the support.
The accused products
The complaint alleges each defendant offers the identical accused product, a single electric-toy model with the same multi-stage synchronous driving mechanism, through Amazon storefronts under the Zonopy and YsyYey-US aliases. Count I charts claim 1 against that mechanism; Count II charts claim 14, including light emitting parts in the housing and support.
The infringement allegations
Counts I and II allege direct infringement under 35 U.S.C. 271(a), literally or under the doctrine of equivalents, by making, using, offering to sell, and selling the accused products in the United States and importing them. The prayer characterizes the infringement as intentional and willful for enhancement purposes.
The relief sought
The prayer asks for a permanent injunction under 35 U.S.C. 283, including marketplace relief covering Amazon listings; a judgment of infringement; damages of at least a reasonable royalty with prejudgment interest and costs under 35 U.S.C. 284, with enhancement up to three times for willful infringement; a finding that the case is exceptional with attorneys' fees under 35 U.S.C. 285; costs; and other relief.
