The complaint

SecureNet Solutions Group, LLC v. Flock Group Inc. d/b/a Flock Safety, No. 1:26-cv-01141 (D. Del.), is a seventy-page complaint for patent infringement filed September 10, 2026, ECF No. 1, with a jury demand. SecureNet alleges that the Accused Products include Flock's Falcon LPR cameras, Vehicle Fingerprint technology, FlockOS Real-Time Crime Center platform, Enhanced LPR software, Flock Safety Platform, and Raven audio detection device, and those products as an integrated system.

What the patents cover

The complaint identifies the asserted claims as claims 12, 17, and 20 of U.S. Patent 12,375,342 (Correlation engine for correlating sensory events); claims 13 and 21 of U.S. Patent 11,323,314 (Heirarchical data storage and correlation system for correlating and storing sensory events in a security and safety system); claim 48 of U.S. Patent 9,344,616 (Correlation engine for security, safety, and business productivity); claims 1, 12, and 20 of U.S. Patent 11,929,870 (Correlation engine for correlating sensory events); claim 10 of U.S. Patent 9,619,984 (Systems and methods for correlating data from IP sensor networks for security, safety, and business productivity applications); claims 11, 13, and 14 of U.S. Patent 10,587,460 (Systems and methods for correlating sensory events and legacy system events utilizing a correlation engine for security, safety, and business productivity); and claims 16 and 26 of U.S. Patent 10,862,744 (Correlation system for correlating sensory events and legacy system events).

U.S. Patent 12,375,342 is titled Correlation engine for correlating sensory events and issued July 29, 2025. Asserted claims 12 and 17 depend from claim 1, which covers a storage medium with program code implementing a receiver for sensory events (a face, vehicle, or license plate detected) from an analytics module that processes data from sensors including at least an IP video camera, an event queue that stores the events in a database, and a correlation engine that evaluates historical correlations among the stored events across time or space by weighting them based on attribute data associated with the sensory data. Claim 12 adds receiving tip data from external sources, generating tip events, correlating them with the sensory events, and generating alerts.

What the lawsuit is about

SecureNet alleges that Flock's networked cameras capture and analyze vehicle images, that its software correlates current and stored events across time and location and integrates them with other public-safety systems, and that Flock directly and indirectly infringes each asserted patent. The prayer asks for a judgment of infringement, damages, an accounting and supplemental damages, a finding of willful infringement with enhanced damages, and attorneys' fees.
